I've been told that runners don't exactly have the cutest feet...I'm starting to learn that firsthand. After Monday's 10-miler and yesterday's 3 miles, I've noticed some pretty terrible blisters in places I never thought were possible. They're UNDER my TOENAILS on BOTH FEET! Both "pointer" toes have blisters underneath the toenail. Can someone tell me how this happens? More importantly, I'd like to know how I can prevent them 'cause it seems as if it is only going to get worse! It would be awesome to keep my cute little tootsies...Help! (And yes, I bought my shoes at a running shop {Luke's Locker in Plano} and I have technical socks I think fit me pretty well)
Hey just found your blog!! I am training for my first half too which is on April 24th!!! I get blisters on the tips of my toes & under my toenails too. I don't think you can prevent them! I use Glide anti-chaffing which helps for longer runs, but it still doesn't prevent them. Wear those with pride!! hehe it means you're a runner!:) Good luck on your half!!!
